Working with the City and the Downtown Business Association, the project team created a new parking lot with landscaping and site furnishings inspired by the existing River’s Edge Commons Park. Services included site investigation and coordination with local businesses for pedestrian walkways and shared trash enclosures.
The City vision was to eliminate an existing alley access onto Main Street and create a downtown parking lot that was more useable. The site provides more parking for businesses and now serves as the location for the Thursday Farmers Market in Downtown Elk River.
