Great River Landing
Landform partnered with 4RM+ULA on a supportive housing project in downtown Minneapolis for men with criminal histories, but a low chance of recidivism. Landform’s role included site design, planning, and entitlement management services.
The backyard outdoor space for this residential building is small with an ambitious program: play area for visiting families, vegetable garden, outdoor cooking space and patio, a small parking lot and access to the underground parking garage. Due to affordable housing funds from the State, the project also needed to meet Minnesota B3 requirements and support the City of Minneapolis’ streetscape plans for the North Loop neighborhood.
Landform planners and designers supported the effort to gain approvals from City Staff and the North Loop Neighborhood Association and developed plans to accomplish the site design goals. We are proud to be part of this project, which will soon provide much needed housing for an under-served population.
